Adverts

Vital Towers told me recently that they were looking into ways of how they could circumvent adblockers. I have a feeling Vital, along with many other interweb sites have caught up with technology.

I have adblocker and see certain ads on Vital but no pop-ups. If you are in a similar position can you continue to post comments on this thread (tell me if you use adblockers) and i'll let the boss know.

I always used to view the forum via Firefox, and ads were always popping up.

I've since switched to IE, (but an old version, 9, I think), and the only problem I sometimes have is a slow running, that's caused me to abandon a MDT.

Had one recently that covered most of the login page, couldn't log in because of it.

they make it harder to spot the X , when I use the Ipad, it opens in a separate page so no problem

It does seem somewhat counter intuitive to circumvent an ad blocker. After all, if you've gone to the trouble of installing one, it means you don't want to see them and will be unlikely to click on them. But then i suppose that's why their employing sneakier methods to get you to click on them inadvertently (there's a few on here like that)

Yeah, I get that Mr 'tache. I'd happily spend 5 minutes clicking the ads when i log in to raise some cash, if i thought they'd then **ck off and let me browse the threads in peace :059:
