Actor and director Richard Attenborough dies aged 90

Good innings but the grieving generation on Facebook are still saying a tragic loss so sad etc. yeah always sad when someone you love or admire dies but he was 90. People tend to die at that age.

Big loss but was getting on a bit so to be expected as Skeggy says, top bloke though and talented.

Tis old but the public do love a bit of public grieving:

Thanks for the memories. The man who put magic back into Christmas too

Yeah I have them too. I am thinking WTF. He is 90. Yes it is very sad for the family however others need to get a grip.

Agreed - nobody lives forever, he lived a good life, brought joy to millions as an actor and director. A friend of mine in the US said that it was originally reported on their news that he'd died in an accident, this was later retracted. R.I.P Mr Attenborough.

You e not watched Highlander then starchild? Documentary on a man who did exactly that, in fact if memory serves, there were a few but they had to fight because there could be only one.

True story.

Yup, you live, you die, it's the square of life.

From the sound of it , it seems like it is a blessing he died as he hated his life as it was now. I hope I live until I am 90.

Talented bloke though , Cry Freedom was a brilliant film.

Fell six years ago, didn't realise but he was mostly wheelchair bound since and had some brain damage I think as speech etc was affected from what the news report I watched said.

Seriously, you'd like to live til 90? Yuk, not for me that thanks!! Lol
