D DOODLE BUG - by soul singer, James Brown (1989). It's a variant of his earlier recording "Doodle Bee" (1959) . Clip on YouTube. Doodlebugs were flying bombs/missiles, used by Germany in WW2. Also my Dad's nickname for one of our neighbours. :p

P PISTOL packin' Mama - Hillbilly hit for Al Dexter and his Troopers (1942). Later covered by many other singers and bands - famously Bing Crosby, also Gene Vincent, Pied Pipers , Flamin' Groovies, etc. A version was also used in a well-known advert for Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles.
