River Usk flows through Newport town centre. Jamie Proctor may be near it at this very moment! (Newport Co. v Salford C. in FA Cup on Saturday). Also, if you are in the area, the Roman fort, amphitheatre, baths, etc, a few miles upriver at Caerleon are worth a visit - fairly short bus ride from Newport town centre.

The worst rain at a game was several seasons ago at Chesterfield. The Thunder and Lightening were so bad the players were taken off the pitch - more than once!
