A - Here In My Heart. Al Martino. 9 weeks at the top in 1952. I was listening to this only a week ago.

C - Rock around the CLOCK - Bill Hayley and the COMETS

No. 1 in November ‘55 and January ‘56 (Dickie Valentine had a Christmas No.1 with CHRISTMAS Alphabet knocking Bill off the top spot briefly).

E Hotel California by The Eagles got to number one in 1977.

We were on a call with someone yesterday and they had to keep 'popping off' to do things and put the music on which was this song - we were actually caught singing along to it!

G - GREEN, GREEN, GRASS of Home - Tom Jones 1966 no.1. ( His voice is still great even tho’ he’s in his eighties)

H HE Ain't HEAVY HE's My Brother - The HOLLIES. Got to number one in 1988. Recently met Peter Howarth who has been the Hollies lead singer for almost twenty years.

I - I Believe. Back to 1953 and the heyday of Frankie Lane. 9 weeks at Number 1. Had it on an LP of his - now sadly vanished - with other songs including High Noon, Cool Water, Jezebel, Ghost Riders in the Sky and 3.10 to Yuma.

J Hey JUDE another from the Beatles that was number one for a couple of weeks here (longer in the USA) in 1968. Now being heard again when Jude Bellingham plays for England.

O O Mein Papa an instrumental song from Eddie Calvert from January 1954 that had nine weeks at number one. It was the first UK number one hit recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
