This can be anything you see in the sky - real or imaginary - or with the word 'fly' in the title

A ANGELS - Robbie Williams from 1997 (gosh, so long ago!) that got to number 4 in the UK Charts.

B - for an early double - Butterfly Fly Away. Song by Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus originally from the soundtrack of the 2009 film Hannah Montana:The Movie.

... or ... "BUTTERFLY" - UK hit for French singer-songwriter, Danyel Gerard. Reached number 11 in the UK singles chart in 1970. (Not believed to be related to Steve).

C Come FLY with me - Title track of album by Frank Sinatra (1958). Still often played on the radio, used in adverts, etc.

Clips of both on YouTube

G Gonna FLY now (Theme tune from Rocky) - Familiar film soundtrack by Bill Conti, first released in 1977. Has been re-released several times. Reached number 52 in the UK singles chart in 2007.

K - Kentucky Bluebird. Song on country singer Keith Whitley's 1991 LP of the same name. Also completely separately the renamed title of the Burt Bacharach song Message to Michael which was recorded as Kentucky Bluebird in 1962 by Lou Johnson and covered by Adam Faith in 1964 with the title A Message to Martha (Kentucky Bluebird). All versions on YouTube.

Alternative "K" ... "KITES" by Simon Dupree and the Big Sound which was a UK hit single in 1967. Quite like it.

They also recorded various experimental songs as "The Moles". Too young to have seen them play live, but some of the original group members went on to form Gentle Giant, who I did see play live. (y)

Alternative "L" - "Lost PIGEON" , electronic/ambient track by Outrenoir (2019), which features on their album "Phase 1". Clip on YouTube.

M MAYFLY - laid-back track from Paul Weller on the album "True meanings" ((2018). Clip on YouTube.

or... "Mister Slater's PARROT", by the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band (1969).

Or, N - Night Owl. James Taylor song originally released as a single by his band The Flying Machine in 1967. Other versions by Taylor and several covers by other artists.

O - California Owls. 2015 single by Swedish Indie band Death and Vanilla from their LP, To Where the Wild Things Are. Video on YouTube.

I thought it appropriate to reference 'Owls' as we may be witnessing the demise of that great and historic football institution. I say this with a heavy heart.

... or... "(The) Owl" by experimental rock/jazz ensemble Slappy Happy & Henry Cowv (1975). Features on their album "Desperate Straights". Clip on YouTube.
