Any sitcom, TV or radio, any nationality.

A - The Army Game. A favourite of my youth. ITV's first sitcom which ran from 1957-1961. Cast included William Hartnell, Alfie Bass, Charles Hawtrey, Michael Medwin, Bernard Bresslaw and later Bill Fraser and Dick Emery. About a dysfunctional group of National Service conscripts in the post-war years.

B BATCHELOR FATHER - Ian Carmichael played the main part about a batchelor who fostered a dozen children. Think it was late 60's or early 70's.

Spooky. I am just listening to a series of radio plays with Ian Carmichael as Lord Peter Wimsey.
Can't imagine a batchelor being allowed to foster kids these days!

C - Cheers. Very successful American sitcom set in a bar in Boston. Ran 1982-1993. Some great characters in it and several actors went on to stardom.

F FAWLTY TOWERS - set in a hotel in Torquay starring and written by John Cleese and Connie Booth. My son and daughter know the scripts off by heart!

H HUGH and I - starred Hugh Lloyd and Terry Scott. About friends who shared lodgings. Remember watching with my dad who used to really laugh at it!

Fascinating. I have no recollection of this series; it apparently ran from 1962-67. I remember Hugh Lloyd from various Hancock episodes.

Saw "Hugh & I". Don't remember "Gnomes of Dulwich" though.

I "(The) Inbetweeners" - UK tv sitcom which features a group of suburban teenagers. First broadcast on E4 (2008). Has won many awards. There is also a film based on the series.

K - Keeping Up Appearances. Very popular BBC sitcom which ran for 5 seasons from 1990. Patricia Routledge played snobbish Hyacinth Bucket (Bouquet).
