P PLANET Of The Apes - TV series, film, books, comic. Remember watching the TV series with Roddy McDowall and Mr Spocks dad was in it too.
 
Q QUANTUM LEAP - US sci-fi tv series (1989), , created by Donald.P. Bellisario. Starring Scott Bakula as time-travelling physicist, Dr. Sam Beckett, and in later series, Raymond Lee as Ben Song. There are several "Quantum Leap" books .

R RAY Bradbury - author of many different books including science fiction including the Martian Chronicles and the Illustrated Man which was a book of short stories.
 
....or "Red Dwarf" - Award-winning sci-fi comedy tv series which started on BBC 2 in 1988. Written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. Starring Craig Charles (as 3rd class technician Dave Lister) and Chris Barrie (as a hologram of 2nd class technician Arnold Rimmer). I have seen them both live in alternative-comedy shows. Also seen Norman Lovett live (ship's computer), and once sat next to Hattie Hayridge (ship's newer computer) in the BBC Radio Studio at Portland Place.

T (The ) TOMORROW PEOPLE - Children's sci-fi series which was first shown on Thames TV in 1973. It featured the adventures of an "Extra-evolved" (Homo-novis) group of youths with superhuman powers like, telepathy, telekinesis, teleportation, etc.
 
V - A Voyage To Arcturus. Highly influential sci-fi novel by David Lindsay published in 1920. Influenced writers like C.S. Lewis and Tolkein. John Ogdon wrote a 1984 oratorio, A Voyage To Arcturus. It also inspired a musical, a film, a BBC radio adaptation and a jazz concept LP by Ron Thomas in 2001.
 
Alternative "X" - "(The ) X-files" - well-known US sci-fi tv drama, about two FBI Special Agents investigating unexplained events. First broadcast in 1993. Starring Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully (see also entry for"U") and David Duchovny as Fox Mulder. Welsh indie band Catatonia had a hit single with their tribute "Mulder and Scully" , which reached number three in the UK charts in 1998.

Directected by Barry Simpson (Haven't seen it).
 
Z Z.P.G. - British sci-fi film when dolls were given to people instead of their children. Oliver Reed was in it.
Saw that. Seem to remember thinking it was so bad it's good type. Haven't seen it anywhere for about 50 years.
Or, Z - Z For Zachariah. Post-apocalypse sci-fi film made in 2015 with Chris Pine, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Margot Robbie. Quite good I thought.
