Any aspect of sci-fi in film titles, books, song or drama.

A - A For Andromeda. 1961 British TV drama which I remember finding very spooky. Written by Fred Hoyle it's about a message from another galaxy that gives instructions on creating a living organism. Julie Christie in her first role played Andromeda. Most of the seven part series is now lost.

Alternative "D" - sci-fi spoof film "Dark Star" (1974). Co-written, produced, and directed by John Carpenter. Starring Dan O'Bannon (also co-writer), Brian Narelle, Carl Kunholm and Dre Pahich. Very funny. Probably an influence on the "Red Dwarf" BBC tv series. (y)
