R St RAYMOND Nonnatus - patron saint of childbirth, midwives, children and pregnant women whose feast day is 31 August.
 
S - Southampton FC. Known as 'The Saints' as originally they were a church football club at St. Mary's church and originally joined the Southern League in 1894 as Southampton St. Mary's.
 
T Saint TRINIAN'S - a school for 'young ladies' films which were based on a Ronald Searle cartoon in the 1950's whose headteacher, Camilla Dagey Fritton, was played by Alastair Sim.
 
V - Saint Vitus. Early Christian martyr from Sicily. In Germany his feast day was celebrated with dancing and the name St Vitus Dance was given to the neurological disorder Sydenham's chorea. Patron saint of dancers and entertainers.
 
W St WINIFRED'S School Choir - their song 'There's No One Quite Like Grandma' was the 1980 Christmas Number One.
I always thought it was still number one when my daughter was born early January but she was relieved to find out it was actually John Lennon's 'Imagine'!
