I bet everyone under 30 has this!N - Nomophobia; fear of being out of mobile phone contact. Jeez! It seems there is absolutely nothing that someone, somewhere doesn't have a fear of.

We had one the other night wandering around the patio. We used to have them a lot when we first moved in as a near neighbour had a pond but that has long since gone so don't know where it came from.R - Ranidaphobia. Fear of frogs and toads. Apparently a fear of frogs is inherent in some folk cultures. Must say I like them.
I kill them on sight in the house. This is an old place and most years we have wasps nests up in the roof. Can't stand the things.S Spheksophobia - a fear of wasps. My son has this (though didn't know that's what it was called) since he was a teenager and got stung on his neck and we had to take him to A&E because it swelled up straight away. Turns out he's allergic to them.

I used to go on them but not anymore - don't know when I realised they weren't for me. Have been on a big wheel in recent years.V - Veloxrotaphobia. Fear of roller coasters. Hm. Perhaps the cure is not to go on them? Don't think I've ever been on one. Or the big wheel!
