L - Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries. Popular song published in 1931 and recorded by many including Ethel Merman, Rudy Vallee, Doris Day and Judy Garland. It was the opening song in the Broadway musical Fosse and is on the soundtrack of the Brad Pitt 2012 film, Killing Them Softly.

I always thought it was a musical about Roman roads with songs like Sway up the Fosse Way and Ermine Street Where You Live.
