Any country, area, place, town, city in Europe!

A Austria - only been once, for four days, but loved it (though not the prices!)

B Belgium - Brussels and Bruges are good for beer, I have been told.... but I haven't been to either yet

C - Calais - Don't suppose there'll be quite as many 'duty free' trips there once 'Brexit' takes hold

F Finland - over on the eastern edge of Europe. Lots of lakes. A bit chilly in winter.

So very pretty - the snow on the fir trees is just like a fairytale.

G - Greece - somewhere I haven’t visited.

I should have been on a ship going around Europe now - hey ho.

I've not been to Finland - yet. Love Crete and Zante but wasn't over keen on Corfu, but had a bad experience there so that's probably why. Not been to mainland Greece.

H Hungary - not been there either

I Iceland - It's on the mid-Atlantic ridge and fault-line, but generally considered to be part of Europe for geographic, historic, cultural and linguisitic reasons. One of the Millers most internationally capped players, Kari Arnason, is still playing for their national football team.
Never been there.

Iceland is very nice - but very cold and very, very expensive!

J Jersey - one of the Channel Islands. Used to love watching Bergerac and it's still on my list of places I must visit

K Karpathos - Greek island. Much smaller than Crete, less commercialised, although I liked Crete too. Been on holiday there - very nice. It can get rather hot - make sure you have the right gear, if you sunburn easily!

The scenery in Iceland is so dramatic I loved it.
Jersey is very interesting (historically) but unfortunately it rained (torrential at times) most of the week I was there so the "prettiness was not obvious.

L - Leichtenstein - tiny but pretty with it's fairytale castles

Yes, it's Vaduz plus a few mountains really. Travelled there from Austria by bus on a sunny afternoon and it was quite pleasant.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
M Moldova - rarely visited country that is off the usual tourist trail, on the south eastern edge of Europe. I've never been there , but have had some wine from Moldova, which was bought in my local Co-op shop - nice stuff! Unfortunately I haven't seen it on sale for a while.

O - OSLO
Capital of Norway.

Never been to Norway - only place i've been to in mainland Europe is Paris

Norway is beautiful! Travelled by train from west to east through the mountains with a couple of overnight stops along the way.

P - Prague, such colourful buildings.

I loved the Fjords in Norway and the little towns are good too

Another on my list to visit is Prague.

Q Quimper - the capital of the Finistere region in France, Gordon tells me

R Rotterdam - second largest city in the Netherlands, behind Amsterdam. It is situated in South Holland . Note - not all of the Netherlands is actually "Holland".
Hit single for The Beautiful South - "Rotterdam (or anywhere)".
... Rotherham or Rome? (Lead singer is a Blades fan)

S Sweden - lovely country, friendly people.

Another S - which is another on my list of 'places to visit' - Switzerland

T Tirana - Capital of Albania. Back in the late 1970's very few visitors were allowed into the country, and that was only on official state-approved visits. One of my mates mananged to get into Tirana, and was part of a small group that went to a Dinamo Tirana football match. It was so unusual for foreigners to be at a domestic game, that they were taken onto the pitch to meet the teams! Probably a bit easier to visit Tirana these days. (Never been there myself).

Could also have had the Tyrol, in Austria (which I have visited). Didn't fancy trying the skiiing, so went in Summer when it was quieter. Very nice. Hangovers feel worse at high altitude though.
