E EIGHT BELOW - Disney film about a man trying to get to base camp up an icy mountain and falls and breaks his leg and his sled dogs save him. Think that's the gist of it. Not sure if it's based on facts.

I've watched Eight Below a couple of times. It's based very loosely on real events. After the rescue a storm forces the humans to evacuate and the dogs are left behind for a year on their own. I enjoyed it.
 
... which is based on the novel by US author, Paul Gallico (1940) - we read it at school.

Or, K - The Snows of Kilimanjaro. 1952 film starring Gregory Peck, Susan Hayward and Ava Gardner from a short story by Ernest hemingway. Watched it quite recently.
Alternate L - Snow Leopard. 2023 Chinese-Tibetan film that won the 2023 Tokyo Grand Prix (Best Film).

N NEUSCHNEE - 1973 electronic instrumental track by experimental German band, Neu! Title of the song means "Fresh snow". Got it on vinyl. (Saw a bloke in a local pub with a Neu! t-shirt on, earlier in the week). Clip on YouTube.

Or M - The Ice Maiden. Fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Title of a number of novels and Ice Maiden is also the title of the 2024 documentary film about Lisa Blair's voyage around Antarctica.

Or N - Night Frost. 1992 novel by R. D. Wingfield. Dramatised for TV in the series A Touch of Frost.
