R ROGUE Agent - film from 2022 about Robert Hendy-Freegard who persuaded people he was an M15 agent when he was really a barman. From Dronfield he got life in 2005 (for conning people out of money and kidnapping) it was dropped to 9 years in 2007 but then earlier this year was given a further 6 years for violence against public officials with aggravating circumstances.
 
or... "ROSA Luxemburg" ... award-winning film (1986) about the life of the German socialist campaigner, writer, political commentator and member of the German parliament, who was brutally murdered in 1919. Seen it - good film.

S STEVE McQueen - song by Sheryl Crow (2002) which was a tribute to the well-known US film actor (1930-80). Released as a single and reached number 44 in the UK charts. Clip on YouTube.

U ULYSSES S. GRANT - two-part tv documentary film (2002) about the life of the 18th president of the USA. Wriiten , directed and producedby Adriana Bosch and Elizabeth Deane (Haven't seen it).
 
V VINCENT - song tribute to Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh by US singer-songwriter Don McLean (1971). Features on the album "American Pie" and was a UK number 1 single in 1971. Clip on YouTube.
 
I was thinking the same, but on checking found that he is probably a legend, based on real characters, like Robin Hood.

Alternative "W" , "William the Conqueror", French film (2015) about the leader of the Norman invasion of Britain in 1066. Directed by Fabien Drugeon, starring Dan Bronchinson and Jean-Damian Deshayes as William in different periods of his life. Clip on YouTube. (Haven't seen the film).

Or, W - Young Winston. 1972 film about Churchill's earlier years with Simon Ward.
 
X - Xavier: Missionary and Saint. 2006 film about Saint Francis Xavier narrated by Liam Neeson.

Or, Xerxes. 1988 TV movie based on Handel's opera about Xerxes 1, King of Persia. The opera is variously known as Xerxes or Serse.

or... "(The) YOUNG Hegel" - book by Georg Luckacs (1948) which analyses the early intellectual deelopment of German philopsopher , Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. Regarded by many as an important contribution to the field of philosophy. (Haven't read it).
