Rather generous, I think we were second best for large parts of the game and if not for Vickers we could have been out of it by half time. That said it is about taking your chances and we took the one good chance we had.
Proper smash and grab might have been a more accurate report me thinks...

Have to agree very generous comments regarding the imps.Austin was also entitled to moan more about the result but didn't. Vickers showed what a great shot stopper he is and the only real piece of quality play won us the game. Great finish by Green but what a cross from Eardley .
Without doubt Eardley is the best signing we have made over the last two seasons.

Not too many years ago I was asked by someone if I would write match reports for a semi pro team for a free newspaper. I explained that it was unlikely I would attend many, if any, of their matches as I was a season ticket holder of another club (I'm an exile so not LCFC).

He said it didn't matter, they just wanted to send different reports to each newspaper. So each week they emailed me what the actual correspondent had written, I rang someone who'd also been at the game to find out their take, and composed a match report of my own from that.

So, in these cases, when someone exclaimed - he wasn't watching the same game as me! I hadn't been.
