If Christopher Lee’s Christmas rock anthem Jingle Hell doesn't make you feel festive nothing will
...................
Not content with livening up our festive record collections in 2012, Lord Of The Rings actor Christopher Lee is at it again.
This time around the 91-year-old – who released the heavy metal collection Charlemagne: The Omens Of Death earlier this year – has unleashed A Very Metal Christmas Too, featuring his own rock-tacular cover of Jingle Bells or, as he calls it, Jingle Hell.
The track follows up his own unique spin on Little Drummer Boy which saw him add some choice guitar licks to the gentle Christmas classic.
And Jingle Bells, Lee-style, is similar in tone as the actor growls his way through a fast-paced, guitar-laden version of the track.
If that’s not enough Lee for your buck, the single also features his take on Frank Sinatra classic My Way – a clip of which can be heard on a second video in which Lee also delivers Christmas greetings to his fans.
While Lee might be best known for his acting – recently winning a new generation of fans as Saruman in the Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit movies – he is also a prolific rock guitarist.
As well as releasing his own albums, he has worked with several modern heavy metal bands and made a guest appearance on Rhapsody Of Fire’s track The Magic Of The Wizard’s Dream
