A Facebook Rant To Sainsbury

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Am I wrong here?

Hey Folks.

Redditch store.

Does the person who designed the new car park lay out hate disabled people or are they just moronic? You've added a few spaces, but you have moved them further away and in their place the mother and child spaces (the politically correct spaces). WTF?

Why? I just helped an old lady, who had to go three columns away with her groceries and took her trolley back, got her the £1 and took it to her.... whilst the car park attendant people (not sure what they are doing apart from standing) look on gormlessly. Meanwhile a mom with a kid about 8 parked in the first space available and both were able to skip in.

Sainsbury do realise having children isn't a disability I hope? And that it is a choice. No, sod the people in wheelchairs, they can be further away and get soaked when it is raining. I assume the person/people who decided this pathetic set up aren't disabled and in actual fact have kids?

Very disappointed at this, I expect better from stores. Tesco have the disabled spaces exactly where they should be, the closest ones to the entrance.

I think they've removed it. Have asked a few others to check as I might just be missing it or maybe you can't see your own posts.

Freedom of speech and cripples hated maybe?!

An excellent Rant Fear and no you are bang on the money.

People should complain more. March into the store or even phone them and ask for a copy of their disability charter, the name of the store manager.

They have removed! I've put back in, slight amendment but only slight!

Just in case this was removed in error, I'll repeat and wait for a response. Or I can just ask the press what they think... You might not like the feedback, but surely you believe in freedom of speech and respect customers enough to listen, even when angry and in this case, with very good reason?

Maybe the people with small children and babies complained that there wasnt enough spaces and that the disabled parking bays are mostly empty? I suppose its hard to please everybody.

I always find that there are hundreds of disabled spaces which are usually empty and no parent and baby spaces. Now there are more people with babies than disabled people.

Although i hate it when the kid doesn't need a pushchair/stroller etc and a parent still parks there.

Trust me, there aren't enough, they aren't always empty and there are loads of parents/children spaces.

It should be parents and babies anyway, kids don't need it, kids need their legs moving more these days, not less. So yes, agree blackwood, just kids and parents walking in (fair enough if toddlers) is mental!

Might be easier for people who aren't differently abled to be more dismissive in some ways perhaps.

I have two kids, 2 and half year old and a 3 and a half year old and we don't need or use the parent and toddler bays anyway, we may have if it was raining badly and there was one there but they should be for disabled people as i wish these stores would realise disabled covers kids who have needs and elderley that need help way more than my kids who luv to walk and run, the common sense factor has gone in this world bit by bit imho

common sense...

those were the days mate, you didn't need signs and warnings for everything, people tried to help each other, you didn't get sued clearing the snow from your footpath etc etc!

Bloody right en all that is, what a difference it would make if we helped thise that needed it the most ay ffs, always dug the snow from the older folks pathways next to me, but i guarente there is bigger lads than me that couldn't be arsed down the road to help their neighbours, the trouble today is imho too many am for themselves not enough will go out their way to help and show manors for the elderley or needey, i have seen this as i have got older for years tbh.

I painted the families garden fence to the left of me so it matched mine even though they ain't connected that side to my house just out of decency now the other side of me them bas**ds i wouldn't pizz on em if they was on fire tbh
