A Bottle of Whiskey

The issue isn't incredibly rare whisky, just as it isn't about rich people buying rare Ferarri's or £20m houses. Good luck to them. Its about the people at the bottom who work hard for little money against a tsunami of rising prices in transport, utilities, housing, child care, food, even in dying and getting a decent funeral. Getting ripped off but having no alternative but to shut up and pay. They're the ones getting squeezed and squeezed.

The middle class buy BMW's and foreign holidays. Poor people spend their money locally, and you can see the price of austerity in the empty shops, closed pubs and struggling businesses.

That's because they're all repressed radicals. Personally, I have no problem in rich people buying expensive things. My focus is somewhat lower, and if you give me a soapbox to stand on, I can talk about the evils of the housing bubble at the raft of falicy that springs from it for many, many hours....
