82/83 Comparisons

You could easily also compare this start to the 2004/05 season where we were on 4 points from 6 games at the end of August and only seemed to have Gary Taylor Fletcher who knew how to put the ball in the back of the net.

End of that season was the Play off final against Southend.

Let's see which way it goes

We had a terrible first half of the season the following year too.
We were 13th on NYE.
Far too early to hit the panic button IMHO

Genuine question for the stattos among us: Has a team ever been relegated the season after they were beaten in a play off final?

Orient lost the 2014 League 1 PO final on penalties and finished 23rd the season after. Two seasons later they went down to the National League.

Cheery thought

And their owner totally screwed them over during that period as well I think

Couple of other meaningless stats.

Oxford lost 16 league games last year and made the playoffs.

We are 6 points off the play off spots with only 123 still to play for.
