7 years ago today

Agreed, but that's the kind of nostalgia I'd rather be left in the dark past. Much better history happened yesterday. Live for the moment ?

The state of that side.

Lincoln City: Anyon, Watts, Hone, Gowling, Nutter, McCallum (Barraclough 72), Fuseini, Power, Russell, Perry (Taylor 82), Smith (O'Keefe 85).Subs Not Used: Sinclair, Nicolau.

Tom and I were there. Gosh it was a long journey exploring some quality stadiums, Alfreton, Hyde, Colwyn Bay, Nantwich, Tamworth, Solihull Moors, to name but a few. It is good sometimes to be reminded of the lean years and be extra grateful for what is on our plates now; let alone the feasts to come.

But there were actually worse teams and players than that during our non-League sojourn.

It was, yeah.

Perry and Smith for us. Kissock scored one for them.

That's right! Kissock was the best player on the pitch by a country mile that day. whatever happened to him, I wonder?

Southport's segregation zone was a piece of string.

Was at that game and was sat in a pub in Southport watching a live game on tv from Sincil Bank ( Lincoln Ladies v Liverpool Ladies) . Good turnout of over 500 City fans that day and quite ironic our first game and last game in the conference / national league was away at Southport.

He did, and Sam Smith scored, too.

Southport were a decent side at that time under Liam Davis. They had Ledsham, who of course we signed.

That's when it hit we were in the NL, when at HT, the Southport supporters vacated the end they were attacking and all walked down to near us!
