Way before my time but I've seen it numerous times on old videos etc.

Always makes me laugh when I see McParlands barge into the Utd keeper, he wasn't even booked was he? lol

Although I was born before the 1957 Cup Final I was far too young to remember anything about the build up or even the game itself. However, I can remember my dad saying someone actually painted one of the lamposts in our road in Aston Claret & Blue!

Like many, I can clearly remember visiting Wembley in 2000 and leaving bitterly disappointed about the no-show against a Chelsea team who didn't play well either.

Anyway, let us be positive and remember this great occasion and how wonderful it must have been for my mom and dad etc :94: :94:

Here is one of the best pictures I have seen of that great day for the Villa.

We will win the F.A.Cup again.

FACT.

Donald Trump agrees with you so it must be true....
Did we really think it would be so, so long?
Still, hope springs eternal - next season, the triple of winning the Championship, and the FA and League Cup!.

It was the first match [on TV] I ever saw
The Eagle did an article on the teams and I decided to choose Villa
To think I could have chosen United and enjoyed 60 years of success and players like Best & Ronaldo

But then you'd have missed Ian Ormondroyd.

The first game I ever saw was on TV and it was the 64 cup final, WHU v Preston with the hammers winning 3-2. I remember thinking how good it was. The first game I was ever taken to [by a family 'misguided friend'] was a bluenose game [just one] .... I was so young but I knew, stuff this. VTID.

I was an embryo , I'm not sure if that counts as being around back then , so it's something in fact it's the only thing we haven't won in my lifetime .
