YCCC Squad news - Root and Brook are unavailable because of England duties. Willey returns as captain, Fraine has been added to the squad too. New NZ signing Finn Allen wiil be available in a few days time.

New signing from Barbados - Dominic Drakes. All rounder who will play in the T20 games (only on a short term contract)

Update 1 - ( 6.05 pm) : raining in Leeds. Start of match likely to be delayed.

Update 2 - Game will start at 8.35pm if there is no more rain.

Update 3 - Yorkshire batting first (8 overs per innings)

Yorks 83-3 (Malan 50) 8 overs, innings closed.
Best Derbys bowler was Kerr with 2-18

Derbys 87-1 (Masood 32 n.o., Madsen 39 n.o.) off 7.3 overs.
Other than an early run out due to some sharp fielding by Thompson. Derbys always looked capable of getting the runs required. Rauf was the only bowler who caused them much difficulty.

Derbys won by 9 wkts.

Season's going a bit downhill.:(
 
We have never been very successful in the T20 format. Thought that the return of Willey yesterday might give us a boost, but he was one of the worst players on the pitch! Rauf is starting to look quite good - just as he is reaching the end of his current spell with us...
