Home Kit revealed by Joma, apparently its a bold new look - The absolute standout feature of the new shirt is the vibrant, contrasting green and yellow swirl pattern across the shoulders and sleeves. It gives the kit a highly energetic, liquid-camo feel.

So a very uneventful World Cup for Toure.
Didnt do anything in the one and a half game time he played in other than run around. Theres some scathing remarks as to why he even went. He was playing for Lincoln 6 months ago and is still young so is still learning. Under PC he should get better but not sure with Maghoma and now Brooks how much game time he will have - has he gone off the boil?, or does PC know how to use him more effectively than Popovic?

SCR (Squad Cost Ratio)

85% Spending Cap
: Clubs are legally restricted to spending no more than 85% of their generated income (broadcast, matchday, commercial, and player sales) on squad costs.

Flexible Equity Top-Up: To help clubs compete, owners are allowed to inject an additional top-up allowance of £33 million over a three-year period (with a maximum of £15 million allowed in any single season)

Penalties:

Spending between the 85% cap and an upper threshold (115%) incurs a financial levy (fine).
Exceeding the upper threshold results in a sporting sanction, such as an immediate points deduction

City Turnover
Norwich City's total revenue (turnover) for the 2024/25 financial year was £39.3 million.

So whats our rough position
BB would know more about this than me, my brain is design not the opposite accountants type

1) 85% of £39.3 million = £33.4 million

2) plus top up average £11 million = £44.4 million

We've spent -

£8 million on Brooks,

£1.5 million on Field,

Loan for Alves, potential signing £1.7 million

Total £9.5 million plus Alves

Income from sales

Nil

Summary

So we still have a bit left (£21.5 million)

I’m expecting promotion this season which ever way it comes. Most pts gained second half of last season, good added transfers in, proper owner in. Anything but is a failure.
Agreed 76.
How things have improved since the Smiffs lost control. If only they had done the honourable thing and pi**ed off years ago we would now be a firmly established mid table premier league club.

The signings including the loan were before the 30th June 2026 and therefore come under the 2025 - 26 financial year. Furthermore the signings are not treated as you describe.

There are some other tests but I will try to find out whether they apply to Championship clubs as well as Premiership clubs.

At some point I was going to start a new SCR thread and how signings are treated....but not today!

We also have a Head Coach and his team of coaches who know what they are doing.

The new kit is a let down with the colours. Change the black to red and the white to yellow and I think it would look good.

edit - I just realised it's our 22-23 home just with a different collar.
