2026 Summer Transfer Window

Looks like we're moving on secondary targets for wingers now, so suspect we know that Gakpo and Savinho are likely to not get done. Both clubs have verbally told us to go play with the traffic lol! (as one agent puts it)..now Baris Yilmaz, and Schjelder's agents are talking of 'contact' made...

Seems like we're hitting the phones now.

I'd like to hope Leao is also a potential back up option?

We have Romero & Spence who are attractive propositions with clubs trying to low ball us when in reality if we went knocking to purchase them we would not be surprised to be quoted 30-50% more.

Can we not off these players as swaps?

Liverpool are crying out for a spence type player. Atletico & Inter have players who could interest us and i am sure their wages wont be difficult to absorb. Surely there are deals to be done

TBH the contract Romero just signed means he might need pulling into line because it feels like he is orchestrating clubs to low ball us. His contract is long enough to sit him on the bench

For the millionth time

Savinho is an idiot for signing a new deal

It wasn't his decision would be my experienced bet; they probably offered at least one third to half as much again on his initial base and told him he'd soon be a starter as they refreshed their team/squad once more - he, his advisors and his family would all think this brought him security - and his family most likely thought putting down roots was just as important. But all this will have been compounded by appointing a new manager who has made it known he's not yet convinced he is worth the effort...

His club now has to convince him to stay and fight for a place, but my guess is they've not bothered or have done that poorly - I haven't seen one comment from anyone at City saying they want him to stay (a la RDZ & Bergval for example)...

So, he pushed the club, gets told they have not decided, and he hands in a transfer request; keeping a player who doesn't want to stay, rarely ends well.

But in the transfer market City are known for their arrogance and treating players like shit when it suits them ..

He's been all over Spurs socials this summer and close friends with Xavi, I can't see how city get him back on side.

He would have played every game here as well, thats not going to happen at City.

Much how I'm not a fan of its he should have refused to go on tour

I've said again again for the last 6 months, he has already agreed a deal with Atlético and all this is just smoke and mirrors to drive down the price.

IF he hadn't been such an Arse, he'd be a £80-90 mill sale. He's worked tirelessly to devalue himself, with the confidence he already has a new deal with them. He's done it so they can meet his wage demands. He is a disingenuous Argentinian ****. I hope he breaks his leg the first game he plays for them.

If he'd done that, he'd have broken his contract obligations and this would be seen as a fundamental breach, which could mean they can claim every single penny back they've ever paid him and damages - these are standard clauses in contracts these days.

Wrexham are said to have shown interest in Jamie Donley, but as a loan to buy. I suspect if it's another in the £7/8-10 mill range, we'll take it.
Looked very good in the friendliest, although this isn’t always the best option for judging players, and appears to me to have that bit of quality and confidence required to be a success. Given their respective pace uncertainties surrounding our number 10’s I would be inclined to keep him, at least until January, to see if he does get minutes and if he can hack it.

He's 21?

Old enough for us to be seeing more I think, 10 million and we should snap Wrexhams hands off
