2026 Summer Transfer Window Thread

Almeida debacle felt very Marcos Senna esque.

Bit concerned that we’re running out of options for that profile. We won’t push playoffs if we don’t improve creatively in midfield.

As for the Oxford lad. Huge pass. As others have said, if he hasn’t gotten a move to a better side in 7 years, tells me all I need to know.

Is there any transfer news for Jordan James, saw a lot of people wanting him in May from many fanbases and then nothing since. Think for us we could do a similar deal with Parante with James, option to buy loan if finances are too much?

That logic doesnt make sense.

Grimes stayed here for 6+ years and was clearly one of the best midfielders in the league. Team quality ≠ player quality.
Yes and he was routinely linked with moves, and eventually went to Coventry.

Grimes was also regarded as one of the best players outside the prem.

The logic stacks up

Matos mentione laat the night the need for experience in this division which is exactly why we brough in Ross Stewart.

Brannagan isnt a bog standard champ midfielder aswell? He's easilly a playoff quality midfielder which is our aim.
Maybe 30 is a bit old now, but agreed he is not a bog standard midfielder. I am sure we can find someone better.

Fulham were interested, iirc, now signing Shea Charles
Yeah, probably wouldn't be a way for us to be in for him but expected a move for him by now. If there were any way of doing it, really think they should. Ofc this is just my thoughts, not based on any rumours or links

Jordan James isn't that Galbraith sort of profile which the club seems to want.

There's very few of them about it will be a bard task.
