2026 Summer Transfer Window Thread

From sound of things, Stewart will be announced tomorrow and maybe Seck on Friday. Think VIP will go soon as well. I wonder if that will be it then for spending? Few more to go on loan and Bianchini agrees to part ways too.
think we need a more progressive player

Glad we don't deal with mental clubs like Valencia etc usually cos this is a right drama.

All our fans going nuts about it but it's the same as any other transfer. Just this is being played out in public.

Valencia have been the normal ones tbf.

We agreed a fee with then days ago.

Hes the problem.

Glad we are moving on want players who want to play for swans not forced any chance seck could happen now because the deal is off for André Almeida
Seck was always the more intriguing one anyway he looks like he'll be a top player in a year or so after some development. We'll probably miss out on that one aswell though which is a shame.

Back to the drawing board anyway. Feel like we could do with an domestic signing who knows the league already. Cameron Branagan is a top alternative.

Think the issue is that Titraoui and Almeida were instant upgrades on quality in the midfield, Seck isn't that.

Think we still need that impact signing in midfield if we are to push on and challenge for play offs. Hopefully they've got something else up their sleeve.

Seck is a different profile to those 2 anyway so it wasnt one or the other. He was a development signing that looked like he had good potential.

We'll definitely sign a midfielder but lets atleast try to get one that actually wants to be here 🤣.

Yeah I've liked the look of him a couple of years ago when we played them in the cup.
He's quality, he's shown he can be a good championship midfield over theast 2 years. The fee would probably be similar or even lower to what we were willing to pay for Almeida aswell.

I'm not saying they are the same profiles but if finances dictate whether we get one or both, then the former has to be the priority.

Seck would be nice, but not over somebody who instantly makes us a better team.

We agreed a deal with Seck then we agreed with Almedia so im sure we had the finances to get both.

We also offered 9mill for Titraoui so we definitely have the wiggle room.

If that is the case and hopefully it is, then what's happened to our club haha. I'm all for it.

Million miles away from that rusell martin January years ago.

Cameron Brannagan is a bog standard championship midfielder. He's been at Oxford since 2018 for good reason.

I'd love to see Vitor's face when someone goes "we've moved on from Almeida and we're bringing in Brannagan instead" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Come on mun.

He's also 30, so no resale value.

Not a goer.
Matos mentione laat the night the need for experience in this division which is exactly why we brough in Ross Stewart.

Brannagan isnt a bog standard champ midfielder aswell? He's easilly a playoff quality midfielder which is our aim.
