For me, Walta has to start. We can’t bring in a 16 goal player and leave him rot on the bench. Showed in 60 minutes against Charlton that he’s more creative than any of our midfielders and scored a brilliant free kick. Be a real shame to see a talent like that neglected.

He doesn't have to start, he has to earn a start.
All well and good playing in a shite league previously, but the champ is a different animal.
He's been working on his physicality, can't wait to see him WHEN he's ready. But I don't get the clamour to play him over other players.

He’s the only midfielder we have currently that can see a pass, the way he strikes the ball it’s obvious he has quality. We don’t really have anyone like him in the squad. I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t give him his opportunity this year.

What about Just and Almeida?
I agree he's god quality and I want to see more of him. But demanding he starts every game? Bit OTT.
I think last season our XI wasn’t bad at all but I cringed seeing the bench options every week
If we conclude the current deals that are in progress I think you could make an XI of backups that could still compete at the level

To be fair I think of Just as a winger but with the way Matos has played him, could see him starting in midfield. I imagine Almeida (if he signs) will be used to dictate play, from his stats I don’t think he’s a goal scorer or overly creative. I’d like to see a Stamenic, Almeida, Walta midfield. Can’t see it happening though.

Motherwell fans say he played as a 10, which is where he also played for NZ. Why do you 'think of Just as a winger'?
Genuinely curious. I'd never seen him play before this summer, and I'd never heard of him at all until the WC!

He was signed under Matos, appreciate he's not the usual profile Matos has tended to go for in the midfield but if thats the case - don't splash £3-4 million
