Basically says that Sporting are still very interested but a deal for Vipotnik depends on if their striker, Suarez moves on.
Although people may have disagreed before and said only one would leave, but I still feel both Gal and Vipi would leave this summer.Basically says that Sporting are still very interested but a deal for Vipotnik depends on if their striker, Suarez moves on.

I didn’t want to sell both but I genuinely think we’ll be okay. Yes, we’ll miss his goals but we’ll have a big fee to put back into the squad and Idah had a very good mins per goal ratio for us last season. He looks a natural finisher and I think he bags 12-15 champ goals if he starts most games. That’s without us bringing in a new ST or considering the impact of Yeo, a new RW and the fact we’ve just brought 16 goals into the club with Walta. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us go for Ballard at some point. Fingers crossed our window gets going this week and while we’re in Austria. It hasn’t been disappointing so far but there are a few key positions that we need to buy for.Although people may have disagreed before and said only one would leave, but I still feel both Gal and Vipi would leave this summer.
Especially with the lower fee for Gal, feel we'll take notice of good bids for him and trust Idah and another striker (or Wales if he begins working in the team under Matos now) as the Striker.
Completely agree with that last sentence, it hasn't been disappointing so far.I didn’t want to sell both but I genuinely think we’ll be okay. To be fair, it’s still only the middle of July. There’s time for us to get a RW in. Think we’ll definitely be getting one, all the news outlets have mentioned we wanted 2 new wingers before the start of the season. I just can’t see Ronald leaving this summer, he’ll probably become a bench player when the new RW gets here. I think he has something to offer us with his energy, he’d be very useful coming on to see a game out imo.Any window which ends with Ronald still here and starting is as disappointing as it gets.
I'm actually annoyed he's still here let alone in line to start against Stoke because we haven't got a RW in yet.
It's a joke to be completely honest.
RW has been a problem for 2 years now it should have been the absolute number 1 priority to bring in before any other position is looked at.To be fair, it’s still only the middle of July. Personally think that’s a bit harsh. Ronald can be very frustrating but he is far from the worst player we’ve had since relegation. He has his good points, unfortunately for us those tend to be related to his defensive capability and work rate. He would actually make a very solid RB at this level I think. Absolutely agree we need a new RW but Ronald is unfairly scapegoated by our fanbase imo.RW has been a problem for 2 years now it should have been the absolute number 1 priority to bring in before any other position is looked at.
He is absolutely killing us, the people in the stadium and online are getting absolutely sick of him aswell. It wouldn't suprise me if people started booing him like they did to Clucas back in the premier league.
This is a RW that cost us 2million and we're talking about him as a defensive substitution instead of someone who can actually affect the game in the final 3rd?Ronald would be a fantastic bench option imo. Be brilliant to have his energy and defensive work rate on fresh if we’re trying to see out a lead
He's still going to be here come start of the season. You can't just shift a player with no suitors.Any window which ends with Ronald still here and starting is as disappointing as it gets.

It's called having options. What do you expect from them? For us to have 3 right wingers who'll deliver 10+ g/a's a season? Not realistic. This is a RW that cost us 2million and we're talking about him as a defensive substitution instead of someone who can actually affect the game in the final 3rd?

A RW who could beat a man would be a great start. It's called having options. What do you expect from them? For us to have 3 right wingers who'll deliver 10+ g/a's a season? Not realistic.
I do understand your point, we did spend a decent amount to get him in and he has been pretty inconsistent. He isn’t the quickest and can let us down in transition on the ball. In fairness though, his number of goal contributions is fine for a bench player and he offers the work rate that Matos is looking for. I wouldn’t be against selling him but having him as backup wouldn’t be a disaster. We’re going to need the whole squad and not all of them will be of the same quality. This is a RW that cost us 2million and we're talking about him as a defensive substitution instead of someone who can actually affect the game in the final 3rd?

Exactly this, not good enough as a starter for where we want to be but fine as a squad option.I do understand your point, we did spend a decent amount to get him in and he has been pretty inconsistent. Obviously overspent in hindsight, doubt we’d get money worth selling him for so may aswell use him for what he’s good forThis is a RW that cost us 2million and we're talking about him as a defensive substitution instead of someone who can actually affect the game in the final 3rd?

I'm not a massive Eom fan but he is infinitely better then Ronald and he was only a million.Exactly this, not good enough as a starter for where we want to be but fine as a squad option.
Fans react way too emotionally and even childishly, what benefit is there to constantly slagging him off, booing him and hounding him on social media?
Also funny that people think you'll find a better replacement for £2m.
