if it was 13.5m apart its understandable. Shouldn't take almost 3 weeks to bridge that gap. Either pay it, or walk away, or find the middle.

You’d have to assume we will bring players in but if the season was starting tomorrow with the squad we currently have plus nobody else… I’d probably have us finishing 16th or 17th to be honest.

Exactly - Wood had one bad season at Newcastle - it didn’t make him a bad player!
The same can be said for Reijnders at City. He was brilliant for Milan the previous season.
For the record - I would pay the transfer fee - but agree the wages are prohibitive and makes any deal very unlikely

I dont know why people are worrying since we might have just found our missing lego brick. Ov course we are all looking at ando leaving, pondering mgw while practically finalise the pre final practical process before actually signing someone. In fact, we have already made our star signing in hiring glasner.

I've followed forest since clough and he would have given his right arm and maranakis' left to manage this level of talant. Kudos to the managers who got us here but glasner's record is a cut above, and he has plenty to work with.

Ok 4th might be overstating things but no reason we cant be optimistic, if not even a wee bit excited. Lots of players with experience now, alongside a manager who has decent track record.

Not keen on the olympiacos support we seem to be doing but otherwise think the big man is spot on investing in the best manager we can attract.

This may be clickbait from Nottingham Forest news, but it does contain some interesting points about the relative merits of Bergvall and Reinjders. Reinjders played 54 games in the 2022-23 season for Alkmaar, which may go some way to replacing Anderson 's work rate.

We have been over this times many.

The number of players who make an instant impact when signed in the January window are in few and far between.

The best transfer activity in that window is, more often than not, no activity.
