2020/21 Spurs Player Ratings

My ratings v Lask.
Hart 7, Doherty 6, Sanchez 5, Davies 6, Reggie 6, Winks 5, Hojbjerg 6, Lamela 5, Moura 8, Bale 6, Vinnie 7, Dele 6, Son 7 Sissoko 6, Loco 6, Clarke 5.
Jose 7.
I was perhaps harsh on Lamela, he did ok but perhaps overplayed it a few times. Vinnie looks promising more for his team play tonight , I think he will score a few. Once again Sanchez and Winks fail to impress me.
I was reserved in my ratings because we weren't up against much.
 
Ratings versus LASK

Hart 7 - In command of his territory throughout. Distribution sometimes suspect.
Doherty 7 - Best performance since joining us.
Davies 8 - Defensive master class by intelligent player doing what he does best,
defending.
Sanchez 6.5 - Benefitted from having Davies alongside him.
Reguilon 6.5 - Untidy at times, but good going forward.
Hojbjerg 7.5 - Becoming a big player for us. Biggest impact seems to be in first
third of games, which coincides with the team at its best.
Winks 5.5 - OK 'cleaner upper', but how much does he influence games.
Lamela 5.5 - Not his best night, average throughout.
Moura 8 - Best for us for sometime. Defenders couldn't handle his pace.
Bale 6 - Quality on the ball can still be seen. We'll need him to start being more
adventurous though.
Vinicius 8 - Outstanding debut, certainly exceeded my expectations.
Subs.
Sissoko 5.5 - Workmanlike but average.
Dele 6.5 - Looked decent, but short on end product.
Lo Celso 6.5 - Always looks quality, but that quality needs to translate to
availability and end product.
Clarke - No rating, brief appearance. Good to see him out there, Jose obviously
sees something in him. Looked OK on confidence.
Son 7.5 - Sonny as always a threat, conversion rate consistently improving.
The Smiley Assassin.
Jose 7.5 - A good night for him, credit that he has put together a squad whereby
we can have a bench of last night's quality, stunning. I'm still not sure
though about the principle of four recognised attackers and an extrA
DM.

Lask ratings

Hart 7 - quiet night
Doherty 8 - superb performance. Proved a point to Mourinho.
Sanchez 7 - only specialised centre half on the pitch and used his pace and power well
Davies 7 - did well, but still don't fancy him in a 2 man against better sides
Reguilon 7 - always look like something will come from his side
Hojberg 7 - steady Eddie as always
Winks 6 - did OK, but still not taking responsibility
Lamela 5 - too selfish and no output when he was on the ball. Needs to pass
Moura 5.5 - see Lamela, with an extra 0.5 for his goal.
Bale 5 - needs to get fit, looked a yard off the pace
Vinicius 8 - needs to work harder but led the line well

Subs
Sissoko 7 - gave us impetus when he came on
Dele 8 - he plays that for 90 mins and he cannot be ignored. Was offering all over the pitch and working in all areas as the free man. Shame he didn't score that goal
Son 8 - he is another gear this season. Working harder defensively as well. Well done Jose for helping him through the gears
Clarke 6 - so glad to see his integration. Watch out Moura and Lamela.

Jose 6 - these games should be about getting us from a back foot / counter attacking side to a front foot / dominating possession side for me. Did Jose achieve that with his tactics? Not until last 20 when he changed the system and personnel. Possession 55%, Shots 13 to their 11, On target 5 to their 4, Corners 6 each. That tells its own story of how Jose set us up.

Read yours and realised I had missed Gio. I agree with your 6.5.

Vs Lask

Starters

Hart - 6 - Safe hands and a good save.
Doherty - 6 - Very busy and some great moments.
Sanchez - 6 - Solid enough, an easy night for the CBs.
Davies - 6 - Solid, commanded the team well but easy night for CBs.
Reguilon - 6 - A little headless chicken at the back sometimes but decent.
Hojbjerg - 6 - Sloppy first half but stood strong. Better second.
Winks - 6 - Also a sloppy first half but gradually took control in the middle.
Lamela - 5 - Not his best night. Very busy. Very dedicated but wasteful.
Bale - 6 - Did well with some good moments.
Lucas - 8 - Excellent. Worked his socks off.
Vinicius - 8 - Excellent debut. Keep that up!

Subs

Son - 8 - Pure class when he came on.
Dele - 6 - Looked a lot better and linked a few moves well.
Sissoko - 6 - Steady and easy at this point.
Lo Celso - 6 - Wasnt on that long but did well.
Clarke - 5 - Also not much time on but good to see him get a shot away.

Manager

Jose - 6 - Not much of a challenge for the team tonight but I still think he needs to organise the CM way better, our passing at the start of games is shakey and its still a little concerning how weak we look from set-pieces. Other than that, the team did well.

Reassuring to know that we all seem to have been watching the same game, posters and media. Can’t always be so sure!

That's interesting. There's less than a mark/point difference between us and the media on every player other than Reggie. If anything, given how well he's been received on here since his arrival, I would have thought we would have rated him higher the the media.
 
Ratings for Burnley.

Lloris 8 - Faultless performance.
Doherty 6.5 - Decent defensively, but not much impact going forward.
Alderweireld 7.5 - Tough match for the CB's. They coped well.
Dier 7 - As with Toby.
Davies 6.5 - One or two dodgy moments but never hides, total involvement throughout. Played his part in keeping the clean sheet.
Sissoko 7 - Good man to have around for this type of match.
Hojbjerg 7 - Always looking for the ball and there to assist when needed.
Ndombele 7.5 - His quality on the ball is becoming increasingly apparent.
Moura 5 - Not his type of game, no impact whatsoever,
Kane 8.5 - The complete team man. Two moments, one at each end, decided the game. Without his goal line clearance from Tarkowski we would have lost.
Son 7.5 - The Baby Faced Assassin does it again. Watch out Brighton.
Lamela 6 - Good corner, but not much else other than putting it about. Should have been sent off.
Lo Celso 5 - On the periphery.
Mourinho 7.5 - Knew that it wouldn't be easy and set up accordingly. Jose will be happy with winning ugly.
