Sevilla to exercise buy out clause for Mesa
Source: ElDesmarque

"Sevilla will have to pay €8m for Mesa, with a further €2m in add-ons, and the player is expected to pen a three-year contract."

Newcastle, West Ham, C Palace and Watford after Fabianski.
All had their bad runs during the season but recovered, we didn’t, that’s the difference.
No chance of keeping him then.
The vultures are circling.
Sick as a pig.

Surprised that Liverpool haven't gone for him. he was linked with them in January. I feel he's better than the teams you mention there.

He's put in a transfer request apparently. What were those tears for against Stoke!? He wants a move! Ok he probably want to stay here with us in the premier league but he's off. He'd like to stay living here and is settled, so maybe it's that side of it?

I don’t think Burnley and Newcastle had fire sales to get rid of their players, they kept most of their squad intact and bounced straight back up.
Latest news of who is leaving is Rodgers Celtic and J Ayew, as he’s told his friend he doesn’t want to play in the Championship (Aston Villa were in the Championship, where he was bought from). I would say that the Scottish Premier League is on a par with the Championship, so a sideways move for him, and how can Celtic afford him?. We paid Villa 5.3 mill and he was a poor player there, he’s got to be worth at least double that or more after the season he’s had here.
The fees being quoted for our players they can all get stuffed. We paid 16mill for an average Championship player in Clucas so let’s get some reality here.

Also their latest article says
“Swansea City will sell Jordan and Andre Ayew to cut their wage bill after being relegated to the Sky Bet Championship.
Jordan Ayew has already been linked with a move to Scottish Champions Celtic whiles his elder brother Andre Ayew is likely to return to France.
Andre Ayew is rated as Swansea City's most valuable player with the highest market value.
The Ayews could be sold for a combine fee of £22.5m with Andre worth £16.2m despite being re-signed for £20m from West Ham.
For Jordan, his market value has increased from £5m to £6.3m following a decent campaign which saw him bag 11 goals in all competitions.”
So the fire sale begins with give away prices for our best players.
If Burnley were able to keep their best players when they were relegated, why can’t we, as a similar sized club?

2014-15 Season
18 Hull City (R) 38 8 11 19 33 51 −18 35
19 Burnley (R) 38 7 12 19 28 53 −25 33
20 QPR (R) 38 8 6 24 42 73 −31 30
Noticeable that Hull & QPR never recovered from relegation and are still floundering in the lower reaches of the Championship, whereas Burnley bounced straight back up 2015-16 as Champions -
1 Burnley (C, P) 46 26 15 5 72 35 +37 93
- attained a seventh position 2017-18 in the PL and qualified for Europe next season, so they are the marker for us.

I think it's the type of characters within the two teams. Burnley had grounded players who believed in what they were doing under Dyche and with all of it together they had some continuity and a solid base to work from.

We just signed a few prima donnas and a few others who are just looking to pick up a wage with little care for the club, and will jump as soon as things go wrong. Big difference.
