Well played Ireland, congrats BBJ. Set up for a classic next weekend - Grand Slam, Triple Crown, St Paddy's Day, at Twickenham. What a game in prospect!!

Surely England have enough pride and self-respect to put in a performance. Now there is no championship at stake, cannot wait for this one.

Well, they'll hardly "allow" Ireland to win the Grand Slam. They'll do their darndest to spoil the party and to get their mitts on the Millennium Trophy.
Obviously, I hope they'll fail but it'd hardly be a huge surprise if Ireland were to leave Twickenham with their championship trophy and medals and nothing else.

Really intriguing game. England should absolutely be 100% playing to destroy our chances and going into every challenge with intent and sheer stubbornness to prevent Ireland having any success, no quarter given, not even an inch given up because anything less than that and they'll lose.

We will play with an intensity and determination to win and England can only win by exceeding this. This is the type of game I'll tune into because it should be an absolute battle and you'd hope England have found some passion for their cause after coming into the game last year thinking they'd beat us on Paddys Day in Ireland to do the Grand Slam. They hadnt a hope and if they have the same arrogance this year they'll be embarrassed again because going to London on Paddys Day to do the Grand Slam ourselves is the exact same thing.

Edit: I get the irony of my words they almost sound as arrogant too but it is the truth.

And of course I'm delighted.
I did say to our John afterwards that, with the exception of Italy (who were unlucky today) any of the other five teams would expect to be in with a chance when playing each other. Sometimes the margins are very thin. Take out Sexton's astonishing last gasp drop goal after 1,900 phases (that's what it felt like), Stockdale's intercept try when Wales were pressing for a winner, Scotland butchering a couple of chances, and it could have been so different.
But it's not of course.
And I do think that over the season Ireland have been the pick of the bunch.

Fantastic spirit, quality through the side and possibly the best half-back pairing in world rugby at the moment. And as you said, they were on the right side of fine margins, but they took their chances and that's what champions do.

Hopefully England will take note of this wake-up call. But in the meantime, enjoy the rest of St. Paddy's Day and revel in the glory of a grand slam :8: :14:

Still developing, lots of potential in Englands ranks, but they lack attacking direction. I expect that to be sorted out by the summer. We have a great coach who until three games ago could do no wrong. Lets let him do the job.
