Me too CDX, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

Pity, because apparently we're not too bad at the old ruggers. I will admit I do get roped into watching the England game every year, but that's just because it's England and we love to beat them in anything don't we .

Eddie Jones drives me nuts. We’re a year away from the World Cup and he is still picking his underperforming faves (Hartley, Joseph, Brown). And wtf was Hughes doing anywhere near the pitch.

I get the impression we thought it would be yet another win against the Jockinese, but they played faster, smarter and were excellent at the breakdown.

I know we’re missing some starters (Billy V, Daley), but it’s time to ring the changes, Eddie, and give some newbies time to settle into the side in time for the World Cup. We need to get to Japan with grand slam winning momentum and as second favourites behind the ABs, not running out of steam and ideas.

The Irish must have loved that game. It’s theirs to lose now.

My circle of friends at home watch rugby, my college friends were rugby heads, my dad watches rugby, every fuck in the office watches rugby and even my brother who only watches Villa took up rugby. I just can't.

I did enjoy last year the England fans thinking they'd come to Ireland... On St. Patricks Day... Beat us... And win the championship... Oh my days if ever there was an easier bet :17: :17: :17:
 
Meanwhile England coach Eddie Jones got a hard time on the train recently. He comes across to me as pretty obnoxious but it's too bad if it really went beyond banter.

England’s head coach, Eddie Jones, says he no longer feels safe using British public transport after being verbally and physically abused on a train following his side’s Calcutta Cup defeat on Saturday. Jones has also criticised jingoistic comments made by Scottish rugby figures which he feels helped to fuel an unsavoury post-match atmosphere.
In addition to encountering problems as a standing passenger on the 9.15am train from Edinburgh Waverley to Manchester, it is also understood Jones was later caught up with fans heading back to London after Chelsea’s defeat at Old Trafford.

Fair play to him for slumming it with the unwashed, but getting dog's abuse it too much really. They must have been football fans who saw the score. Rugby fans wouldn't dream of behaving like that, surely?

Correct JPA. I've been to Internationals and cup finals at Twickenham, Murrayfield and The National Stadium in Cardiff to name a few and I've never ever seen anything like that behaviour.

99.99% certain they were football 'fans'........

If Ireland beat Scotland, ideally, if Scotland can stop Ireland getting a bonus point it helps.

England need to go to Paris and get a bonus point win if possible, but we all know, France can be a funny team, you never know which France will turn up on the day.

For me, it's Irelands' to lose really.

Yes, it could be quite a day.
If Ireland win with a bonus point and England don't, then Ireland will be champions and would go to Twickenham to try to secure the grand slam and triple crown - oh, and retain win the Millennium Trophy too.
It would be nice for me if I were to find myself driving back from my mate's house, having watched Villa hammer Wolves whilst at the same time knowing that Ireland had earlier run in four tries against Scotland, and that England had had to be content with a three try win in Paris.
Of course, Scotland are not coming to Lansdowne Road to make up the numbers, it's not unlkely that I'll have to watch the football game from behind the couch, and our Gallic friends might fold up their tents when the roast beefs come to town.
And even if it turns out that I'll go to sleep with a smile flickering round my lips, I cannot imagine England not wanting to spoil the St Patrick's Day party in London,

It's the sign of a good team - not play all that well but yet run up a seemingly flattering scoreline.
 
After the euphoria at B6 yesterday, what happened in Paris would always take a backseat BBJ.

Congratulations to Ireland and back to the drawing board for England...... the wheels seem to of fallen off the wagon.
