I think that the perfect bound versions of the last couple of years were particularly costly to print. If programmes are going to remain viable then the club needs to minimise the costs and get a couple of reliable advertisers. Following the vote that confirmed that printed programmes are no longer compulsory I did wonder if Scally would be one of the first to pull the plug, and no doubt he would if the programme was loss making.
A lot of the pointless space fillers look like they've been cut out of this year's programme (the FL stats page, the social media snippets) so I think there is still as much reading for your £3. I quite liked our slimmed down cup programmes (which were £2 last season) - personally I'm in favour of moving away from the mega glossy productions (I still definitely like to have a programme. though I suspect I'm in a shrinking minority...).
