I know a few of us on here like a little bet so this thread is for this years festival tips and selections.

I have had £10 each way on Camping Ground at 20/1 in the Champion Hurdle today.

Here's hoping.
 
Cheltenham week always beings a plethora of Irish into Stratford, and we have a full restaurant for 4 nights every year, normally the same folk.

They're tremendous fun, whether the win or lose on the gee-gees, and are usually pretty good for tips as well. Anything I hear of, I will of course pass on to you good people.
 
That will be greatly appreciated JPA have been given a tip Shantou Flyer 4.50 at 33s and I suppose there can be a case made that the better ground will suit so a couple a quid EW for me.

Sirdennis that Champion Hurdle is a bit of a quandary aint it will she won't she don't like backing mares in these championship races plus coming back in distance could inconvenience but she does look a class above this lot.
Camping Ground looks a decent shout if trained by Nicholls or Henderson it would be a lot shorter that's for sure Lil Rockerfeller is a personal favourite of mine done me a few good turns this year showing a great level of consistency another one that would be a lot shorter under a top trainer.
Min 1.30 looks a good thing to me and at 11\4 now is a cracking price and in the last Aloomomo could be a class above.
 
Yes Camping Ground hammered Lil Rockerfeller at Cheltenham and Lil Rockerfeller came out and won a decent race , so the form looks good.

I like Beg to Differ in the 2.50 as well O'Neill always seems to come good at Cheltenham , and he is crafty for sure.
 
Yeah agree about Jonjo but he has had a miserable time of things been a very poor season for him that's for sure but certain trainers to tend to turn up at the festivals primed and ready to go Holywell he's other in that race could well be a different horse to what he shown so far this season.
 
Just had a great start.

£20 on the nose on the winner @ 4/1
£10 e/w on 3rd place @ 15/2 (he drifted to 10/1.. d'oh!)

Plus now with Coral I get a £5 free bet every time a Mullins horse wins.

Everyone on Douvan in the next I take it?
 
The was a bet struck of £220,000 to win £80,000 on him though.

Why if you can afford to bet £220,000 do you need another £80,000 ?
 
Betting should only partly be about money, it should be mostly about enjoyment.

If I bet 220K I would be shitting myself so much that I couldn't enjoy it.

Gone for The New One in this, knowing that if Annie Power wins I get a £5 free bet from Coral as a consolation prize.
