2 friendlies tonight - anyone going?

Of note, the first goalscorer Kadeem Harris looked very lively on the left in an inverted winder role and scored a classic Matty Jarvis run down the left wing with pace, cut in and smash it in the top right (the clear highlight of the game). The young Brighton lad was very lively and robust - really put himself about and would have been booked minimum for a nasty two footed challenge. Thankfully the ref and Dover player did him some favours as the Dover lad jumped up and ref settled for a ticking off.
Pleasing to hear this, Kadeem is a quality player with the added extra of being entertaining to watch.

I can’t access Kent Online anymore (they now block adblockers and their articles feature more adverts than the average dodgy site) but were there any interesting tidbits on there?

Dack was feeling his right ankle before walking off unaided, but was hobbling around in the bar afterwards.

Pizza in Breakwater brewery pre-game 👍

Nice selection of beers ! Pizza looks good too....

He played over 40 games last season and was our POTY. I would argue that’s why his contract was renewed and it makes a lot of sense.
Recovery from Achilles tendonitis generally takes anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks for mild to moderate cases, though severe or chronic conditions can take 3 to 6 months or longer to fully heal. Because tendons have limited blood supply, recovery is naturally slow and requires patience.

Worrying, before the season has even started.

Oh of course, if we can get him out on the pitch, absolutely. My concern is Ainsworth admitting he has a long standing injury issue and has limped off injured in the first pre season match after half hour.

But as Ainsworth said, "Bradley's had an Achilles tendonitis thing he gets all the time, but he's gone a bit too far" - I'd understand from that that it's something he had last season too, doesn't sound like something that's come up during the close season. So presumably it's something that normally he can manage.

Love the pictures from around England, Trev. Keep them coming for the season.

He started more games and played more minutes than most of the squad. He was also our best player.
He may have been but the news your "star" player is being medically managed for, probably, the whole season doesn't bode well.

It's a handicap.

I get a little on edge with pre-season as we’ve seen many times if a player doesn’t have a proper pre-season to condition himself then he can struggle for the whole season. We have a number of oldies in our group, some of whom were prone to injuries last season.

It’s clearly going to be a case of managing Dack’s minutes and game time this season to account for issues like his tendinitis problem, but as others have said it was the same last season and he still was able to make a good contribution overall.
McCleary is another in a similar boat but more down to his age, we can’t really afford to have many more like that.
Last season Vokes never really got going as he missed much of preseason and it turned out he was commuting from Bournemouth for training which can’t have helped his recovery times etc.

Ouch.
If this is a fact?
Then this might be the reason why he wasn't at Dover . Allowing him a extra few days to get fit enough to play friendly games might make sense.
Let's hope the situation it's a once a week trip because if it isn't then this is a real problem.
