1901 f a cup final

Hi Everyone

Just joined the forum, I am not a Spurs fan but very interested in Tottenham hotspur`s early history. I am particularly interested in Spurs` 1901 Cup Final win against Sheffield Utd , over the years I have built up a nice collection of memorabilia from the final and decided along with a couple of friends to do a book, which will also cover the early rounds both teams played.

The book is taking shape, but there is still time to add things before publication.

If anybody thinks they may be able to help to add to what we have already please let me know,

Feel free to ask any questions, if you have an interest in the final.

I am just trying to make the book as detailed and interesting as possible.

Apologies if there is already a thread on the 1901 Cup Final

Tino Can I make one thing clear, the reason why I have joined this forum, is to try and unearth any kinds of memorabilia that may be out there that could be included in the book, .

I have always wanted to do a book on this iconic final, a final that put Spurs on the Football Map.

I have been lucky enough to obtain some nice items over the years and last year bought some privately taken photos showing crowd scenes from the match at the Crystal Palace, getting those made my mind up about doing a book.

If something is out there that would add to the book I would love to include it. I know its a long shot that something might be unearthed, but you will never know what`s out there unless you ask.

I am covering all costs that are incurred in getting the book done, and have forfeited any profits if there are any, these will go to a couple of friends who are helping me to pot it all together.

This is a labour of love for me and i hope I might get a few positive responses

Yeah no problem.

Might I suggest you check on this thread every other day for a week or so just in case someone has posted something of interest :17:

Thanks Tino Hopefully something might come of it The one item I would really love to get hold of for inclusion is an In Memoriam card, or Funeral card, these were produced before and after the final and sold to Spurs fans at the Crystal Palace, Burnden Park and on the Tottenham High Road when Spurs returned with the cup on the Sunday morning. It would be fantastic if one of these postcard sized items has survived, someone out there might have one, even If I could get a photocopy of it, that would do

Would you like me to post your request via our front page article. That way the message will be seen by a huge audience.

No worries but it will have to wait until either tomorrow or Monday morning. We've got a big game later this afternoon and I'll be busy watching the match and having a beer.

I was there actually. I was only in my early 20s, so don't remember that much about it. I had lost my mobile phone and my Samsung 43" TV had broken the day before before the match

I love Tottenham.

I simply adore all things Spurs.

Man on? What is your problem?

Does anyone her remember Kieth Burkinshaw? I loved him. I love Tottenham. Beutifull. just beautiful

I am writing a book on the 1901 FA Cup Final between Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United and have, over the years built up a nice collection of memorabilia.
