10 places......

Wasn't it £32M you spent on players?

.... and you managed to beat Newcastle. Even in THAT season we took 4 points off the Toon and the draw at theirs should have been a win......

Don't get complacent, we'll be there. Your wins so far have been against this season's probable strugglers. More results yet to come like the one against Leeds. :utv:

I don't doubt that for one moment Basie. However, wins home and away against the bottom 12 gives you 72 points and virtually a guarantee of the playoffs. For every point we drop to a bottom 12 team we need to get at least that many against a top 12 side...... with the calibre of player we have available plus players like Huddlestone, Davies and Thorne all to come back from injury, I think we can make top 6.

At the end of the day you can only beat what's in front of you. So far this season, out 2 defeats have been to a side that beat us, and deservedly so and the other one was down to us not competing in the first half which saw us go 2 down and then play better 2nd half but only managing the 1 goal in a game we might have won.

Far too early to say how it is going to go this season but there was banter when you were ahead of us, now it's going the other way since we have got ahead of you........ all part of the rivalry.

In all honesty, your lot might be up there too. It's all down to whether or not the Portuguese lads and other non-Brits can handle the physical test of a Championship season as well as the brute force and ignorance that half a dozen sides bring to the table.

To be honest I can see us struggling against the 'better' teams in the league if we don't get the defence sorted. We are wide open at times and without Davies we are seriously lacking a leader in this department and for the team overall.

We have ridden our luck on many occasions recently and if Hull had have taken their chances or a percentage of, we would not have had all three points.

Having said all that good sides grind out wins even though they are struggling. We have had a couple of good away wins and now sit in 4th place in the league...........................Anyone know where Florist have got to, someone said they were coming for us recently.743946.jpg
