The Liverpool vs Aston Villa Match Thread

I can definitely see Brentford turning them over. They looked good last weekend against West Ham

    The Philippe Coutinho Thread

I'm not sure what you guys think but I reckon that Ings may benefit more from Coutinho than Watkins. His movement around the box is better than Watkins

    The January Transfer Thread 2022

I don't think Brighton would be paying his wage if they thought there was something in it.

The Summer 2020 Transfer Rumour Thread

Got a feeling we might go all out for Edouard as Watkins wasn't revealed as our record signing (which Wes was last season) ???????????

Aston Villa v Man City League Cup Final March 1st

I went to the '71 final and we actually outplayed Spurs. I managed to bump into Chivers at a golf event a couple of years ago and even he (bearing in mind he scored both goals) admitted we had played better than them.

    The Carabao Cup Thread 2019-20

Don’t know whether I’ve missed it but I can’t believe that nobody has mentioned Super Jacks assist for Targetts goal last night. Playing the ball off his standing foot. The guy is a genius.

Got to think with Kodja going that we'll be in for another striker in addition to Samatta

He's got to stay on the pitch to be effective. Pussy.

    The Official Dean Smith Thread

I hate slagging off players but it seems to me that it's every game he goes down with an 'injury' that causes him to go off. Absolute liability in that regard. Caused the second goal against us yesterday. I remember the day when full backs weren't p*ssies.

    The Matt Targett Thread

Thank god it's not just me that thinks he's a p****y. I do quite like him going forwards but after the 'concussion' against Wolves and looking for a way out yesterday it really annoys me. Defenders always used to have to have a pair. I guess it's the modern day player.

Aston Villa v Burnley Match Thread.

My son and I were talking about this. Wesley receiving treatment after being put in the recovery position when the ball hit him in the face ! And El Ghazi holding his head after a slight brush in the 'challenge' that lead to their goal. He is brought off and when the camera zooms into him on the...

The Official Summer Transfer Window Thread

Would still love us to be in for Maupay. Scores goals, lots of assists and a bit of a nasty streak. Think he would do really well.

The Official Summer Transfer Window Thread

I think getting Maupay would be a huge bonus. Obviously got an eye for goal, gets a lots of assists and is also a nasty piece of work at times. If Wesley is half decent it could be a really good partnership.

If anyone hasn't seen this interview, it's well worth a look. Very inspiring. highlights what professional people we now have in charge of our club.

Match Thread: Brentford v Aston Villa, Wed 13th Feb, 19:45

The problem we have is the majority of our players are too old or will not be here after the end of the season as they are either on loan or at the end of their contracts. We will then see what smith's recruitment policy will be. Last night a bunch of bang average players dominated us through...

I think we've got better players in midfield. As soon as Smith gets the forwards movement better and the midfield seeing the passes earlier we'll be fine
