I thought it was a great game and we competed well throughout. We had some great attacking moves and would definitely have taken at least a point if we'd just been a bit more clinical. Great chances for Elanga, MGW and Taiwo, all squandered. Newcastle were clinical, with two great strikes from...

    Forest vs Brizzle Match thread

Back to the match, one thing that really impressed me was the way the players celebrated after the penalty shoot out. It was like they'd survived for another season. Turner was congratulated. Hugs all round. There were also congratulations for Gardiner. If nothing else, this side has very good...

Forest playing well. Good attitude. Big difference is they're pressing strongly.

Totally agree re the Club. We have been totally let down by the leadership team (these terms used very loosely). After 23 years out of the top flight we have found a way to shoot ourselves in the foot. We shouldn't expect any leniency either, not with all other clubs looking on, not least...

What a great feeling to wake up this morning and think of that performance last night! (reminds me of my younger days!). Yet the media seem focussed on what Man Utd didn't do well enough. Forest are thankfully under the radar..... YOU REDDDSSSS

What a great performance tonight, best this season for me. The atmosphere was superb. No way this team is going down. Problems in goal though. It is 13 years to the day that we stuffed Derby 5-2!

Very good analysis, Pope. A tough game, always is. Eleven successive wins against us! Has to change sometime. A key determinant will be our mentality; how much we believe we can get something out of the game. Look how Luton believe in themselves. They don't have the talent, but have a strong...

I really hope the win at Newcastle instils the belief that we can compete with the big teams. We are playing Man U next, a team that has won 11 successive competitive matches against us, going back to 1996. Time for that run to end??

    Wolves match thread

An encouraging performance today under extreme pressure after four defeats. It was gritty and determined. These players are no doubt still playing for the manager. We need to keep working on our passing and keeping the ball. We could have won with a ounce more quality in the final third.

Absolutely. There ain’t a better manager than Cooper.

Yes, and we should have had a penalty.

Two main problems today. First, we couldn’t cope with their high press, which stopped us passing effectively. We couldn’t hold on to the ball. Second, we couldn’t hit a barn door.

We’ve lost our goal scoring threat, which kept us up last season, in Taiwo and Jonno. We are blunt in attack. The recruitment team should have addressed this. We signed too many average midfielders and defenders.

Premier League Match Thread: Nottingham Forest Vs Brighton and Hove Albion, sponsored by the tears of Scouse "injustice"

After our great start we were forced into last season’s passive mode through Brighton’s superb passing and movement. When we managed to win the ball back we weren’t brave and decisive enough with it. Then Brighton were ruthless in their finishing, which really was the main difference between the...

We need to extend Aina's contract. I think we only have him on a 1 year deal. He is excellent.
