I think it would have been massively beneficial to us this season, and I don't consider us a big/protected club.

    Season Tickets

Still cheaper than paying for a sodding membership to then try and buy tickets all season. I've paid £20 just for the honour of sitting a few thousand places back on a wait list to then be able to pay out for a season ticket.

Only conceded one corner against Wolves, but that meant we conceded a goal.

    Match Thread v Wolves

According to WhoScored its 21 goals from set pieces. I don't know if that counts things like the Liverpool goal, where the ball came out from a corner and was recycled back into the box for a goal. However, the Premier League in total have conceded 199 goals from set pieces. Just over 10% of...

As @CanadaRed says though, I expected Barkely to break down around Christmas time, and for Luton to plummet without that touch of genuine quality.

    Hypothetical situation

I'd let Murillo go and keep MGW. Murillo is quality, there's no question. But we could live without him and it would be far easier to sign a solid CB to replace Murillo than it would to replace MGW. Coupled with the fact that a Murillo sale is likely to produce a larger profit, I think this is...

Sels was so close to saving it too, watching the replays. I didn't think he was anywhere near from the far end of the ground but he finger tipped it onto the inside of the post. If he hadn't cut his nails that morning it might have been enough to hit the post and come back out, rather than in...

Agree on Ribiero, he looked good from his small cameo. Aren't we supposed to have a signing option on him?

We're a mid-table prem side for 95% of a game, but a non-league side for concentration and set plays. We've spent the entire season saying "cut out the individual errors, learn to defend set pieces and we'll be fine". We've done neither, and we aren't going to be fine. I'm sick of hearing Nuno...

    Everton just 2 points

I was pretty surprised when Sky said we had the 6th best defence in the league since Sels came in. This was during the Spurs game. I feel like that simply can't be true?

MotD showed a replay from the front and you can see Maddison hits Yates in the guts. It's not hard, and it's utterly pathetic (both the punch and the reaction). I know it *could* have been a red, probably should have been a red. But beyond any and all doubt, I promise you that if Yates had...

We gave Luton two draws which is 2 points. We cost ourselves two wins which is 4 points. That's a 6 point swing.

Could do with Everton keeping their winless run though. A draw for me, despite the fact I'd much rather Everton survive over Luton. Sheffield U, Burnley and Luton deserve to go down - but if Luton do survive we want it to be at Evertons expense and not ours.

    Main Stand

Would the club be able to purchase a secondary, external site to provide additional income? Not saying we should and I don't even know if it's a good idea. But for example, would it be within the rules for NFFC to buy landplots, develop them and sell them off? Or to own a string of hotels, or...

They had the piss taken waving their pink bits of cardboard about. We feel aggreived with the rules and the situation we find ourselves in, but haven't gone about protesting it like they did. They seem to be willfully ignoring the fact that they've got almost double the threshold to play with...

Sitting by me actually. Perhaps next time I'll get AC to pretend the seat is next to him and someone will have it.

Murillo was very strong aerially in his 1v1 duels in open play. It's the set pieces that seem to cause real problems - we can't seem to cope with bodies in the box, get confused, lose markers, and generally leave a free head somewhere.

    The Managerial Merry-go-round Thread 23/24

I don't disagree in principle. But there's a distinction to be made by surviving on our own merit, or surviving because our competitors are even worse than we are. I'll take either scenario, but the latter doesn't earn the manager much credit.
