Didn't think it could get more desperate and embarrassing, but it has. Total incompetence making fans suffer for no reason as no chance of takeover going through.

There is a 48% chance Ashley will win the court case though. It all depends on the Judge's interpretation of the law in the case so no need for anyone to wet their knickers as I'm not the judge in this case. I'd be more than happy to find out Ashley wins the case.

There are plenty who would take on the case as it's a big money earner (long drawn out case). My reason for it failing is the link between PIF and the Saudi government.

I'd be more than happy if he wins the case and gets compensation as it would mean he sells the club. He must genuinly think he has a case or else he wouldn't be putting his hand in his pocket for lawyers. I don't think he does have a case and would be shocked (and happy) if he wins though.

Hoffenheim confirmed it was a club record following £37mil for Firmino so it's there or thereabouts.

I'm just saying the previous owners left the club in the shit and there is more hope for the future of the club with Ashley than previously with him. We're stuck with him no matter how many bellends stand outside Sports direct making a tit of themselves and the region.

My gosh, you sad **** lmao. We were up the creek moneywise when Ashley took over. As I said many times Ashley has made a balls of things but other clubs have done a lot worse but have been bailed out by takeovers. A couple of decent buys in the summer and we'll be a canny decent Premiership team.

No because the point isn't for praising purposes it's merely an acknowledgement that money in the club's accounts is spent with the intention of improving the squad quality when available.

Spends money as in authorising the purchase of players such as Joelinton, Maximin and Wilson. If I really need to spell this out! The squad quality is a far bigger priority than training facilities at the moment (to reduce the risk of relegation). I'd say we are 3 or 4 quality plays short. (I'm...

Whereas with you, you can guarantee you won't be in the slightest. It's not justifying at all, it's just having an understanding of his methods rather than based on a bitter agenda.

I agree the way he's ran the club financially has been a disgrace, all I'm saying is that when there is a few quid in the club's pot, money does get spent, ie. the money McClaren and Bruce got. If we hadn't wasted a lot of money on injury prone players and flops, we could have avoided a...

I didn't say it was his own money. I was on about when the club's account has money in it, it does get spent on players (just not wisely).

We have more hope of staying up as we have invested ok the last couple of seasons (Maxi, Wilson). Money on Joelinton was a huge cock-up. £40mil down the drain but can't accuse Ashley being tight on that transfer or not spending recently.

    Fulham v Us

We don't have the strength in depth so players like Maxi and Wilson have a massive impact on results. Summer transfer window will be interesting and nice for the club to get £20mil more for finishing 12th v finishing 17th.

For every year we remain in the Premier league we make up ground / don't lose ground from the teams around us. We had a bit of catching to do with the relegations. Hopefully and expectedly we have enough quality and finances to stop any more relegations. Expecting Carroll to leave so hopefully...

    Fulhams result

We've been without Wilson and Maximin for a big chunk of the season. The season would have been massively different if those two stayed fit. Not sure how covid will impact on summer transfer activities, but credit for bringing in Wilson and Maximin and spending a few quid on Lewis even if he's...

There will be tonnes and tonnes of paperwork, especially with dodgy saudies. There will be delays for all sorts of things. I don't deny there is probably a lot of incompetence involved though. I just really think there's a lot of work involved. As much as I would have liked it to be concluded...

The saudis need to show they take piracy seriously which is the hold up as they need to take down a lot of pirate sites which is taking time.
