Quite happy with the appointment of both Wild & Conlon.
Without being disrespectful I think we are lucky to attract people with their, recent, experiences, we’re hardly an attractive proposition at this current time.
Saturday looks a bit brighter now and should see them hit their first two...
Tonight is a good time for the players to make a positive statement. We know heads are down and it’s difficult times but a good time to show a bit of resilience and fight.
Teams around/above us are all away from home so a good time to get out of the clart and make a bit of progress, which then...
I’m not suggesting going back or staff returning as it’s something that’s never really worked at pools, we have experienced that many times.
It’s just the manner in which we turn draws into defeats particularly this season. We seem unable to pick a point up at home never mind on the road...
Yep, as expected as we have a history of it, we kick started the season of a side below us, they can now push on to bigger and better things while we look forward to a relegation dogfight 10 games in.

He might be but I certainly won’t.
Seems to be a couple of things to put right before Tuesday.
We need to look after the person first, seems to be a total lack of self confidence, get that right, then they will look after the football, then the results might improve.
The lack of draws is...
Totally agree, lack of work ethic, unwilling to do the dirty stuff, low aspiration level, lack of ambition, dummy spitting, unfortunately it’s never one thing.
He’s been effed over by those he trusted. Absolute clear out required
:red:
I think a draw is out of the question as I’ve just put that on my coupon.
Bookies have them as favourites and you never see a bookie on a bike.
It’ll probably end up a 0-0 yawn fest but, to paraphrase Forrest, ‘Pools are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get’
:red:
These boys have to get it right, from the off.
If we kick start Scunny’s season by gifting them 3pts we are in real danger of replacing them in the relegation zone, seeing as though Wealdstone have the only team worse than us, on current form, at their place.
:red:
Almost sounds like a case of the tail wagging the dog.
All this sports science seems to be over complicating a simple game, overthinking and overwhelming those actually playing it. But because it’s the done thing now, like the rest we have to be sheep and follow a system that fails to allow...
True, it cannot be from what’s left, let them go and reinvest in proven at least at this level or the one above. Not sure who’s available other than the 2 being bandied about.
:red:
Think they did okay with player recruitment, they are just no good at manager recruitment. Let’s not let them loose again please.
Data obviously doesn’t win football matches, Paraphrase one of the greats “it’s a simple game complicated by those who should know better”
:red:
Out of the 8 games played we have finished 3 of them with 10 men, 37.5% of games, up to this point, have seen red cards and resulted in losses.
Potentially over the season that's over 17 games finishing with 10 players and no points.
It is probably a combination of things rather than just one...
