Tottenham posted an £80 million pre-tax loss in the financial year ending June 2021.

The north London club also saw their debts increase to £706 million from a figure of £605 million the year prior.

The financial year was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with match receipts dropping from £94.5 million in 2020 to £1.9 million in 2021 due to the majority of matches being played behind closed doors.

Spurs also saw a significant drop in prize money from UEFA — £23.6 million compared to £51.2 million — after playing in the Europa League instead of the Champions League.

They did receive a boost of TV and media revenues of £184.4 million, compared to £95.2 million in 2020, due to the 2019-20 season being suspended and then completed in the 2021 financial year.
