Griffiths 6- not great, not terrible, didn't really stand a chance with the goals

Poole 5 - passing and crossing was poor.
Eyoma 2- worst central defensive performance I can remember, lost just about every header, bullied physically and an absolute liability with ball at his feet.
Montsma 6- not his best game, still some touches of class, not helped by the dross he was surrounded by.
Robson 5- another one who couldn't cope physically, got up and down quite well.

McGrandles 5- tried to play forward as much as he could, pretty wasteful in possession.
Sorensen 3- woeful.
Fiorini 5.5- got better as the game went on.

Maguire 5- not much came off for him.
Draper 7- says it all that a 17 year old is our biggest physical presence, more than held his own against Raggett, had no support.
Bishop 4- did absolutely nothing.

Nlundulu 5- if we were marking for effort he'd get a 10, sadly effort alone isn't enough or we could all play.
Adelakun 6- much better, game was done when he got on but he actually looked like he might make something happen.

No point of singling anyone out really after this capitulation.
One thing only. I said with Jackson in the team we would have half of a chance to get something out of the game. Moment where I saw TJ on the team sheet my hopes for that were gone. It is not to criticize TJ but to say that as much as Jackson and Walsh are great defenders then if they can't stay fit for two games in the row then what is the point of them playing football … ??

Griffiths 6- Did his job, but his slow distribution with the ball at his feet helped the Portsmouth high press. Long kicking has always been hit and miss.

Poole 5 - not one of his better games, either going forward or in defense.
Montsma 6 - panicked under the high press, but probably not as much as his three back line comrades
Eyoma 4- worst display in an Imps shirt. Totally shorn of any confidence.
Robson 4.5- poor first touch meant he nearly always passed square or backwards. Zero threat going forward, and average at best defending.

McGrandles 5- the only midfielder that tried to move forward when receiving the ball. Inevitably, with no easy pass available, he ended up getting caught in possession.
Sorensen 4.5- Worst game so far. Do not understand why Sanders has not been given a start.
Fiorini 5 - does not affect the game in the way that his Man City and Scotland U21 pedigree suggests he should. Basically this division is too fast and tough for him. Just not up for a scrapping-type game at all.

Maguire 6- tried his best but no support
Draper 7- easily our best player, which says it all.
Bishop 4- maybe doesn't like being played wide, but the last two months show exactly why he couldn't get in the Ipswich first team under Paul Cook

Nlundulu 4- effort but nothing else. No touch, head down.
Adelakun 6- surely if Scully is out he has to play. Can look lazy at times, but has undoubted individual skill.

Overall, we are a mess. We have struggled badly against any team that comes to the Bank and plays a high press, yert we stubbornly stick to our guns and play out from the back with no tactics apparently do anything else. It doesn't affect us as much away from home as home teams rarely use a high press - the onus is on them to attack. At home it is just too easy for teams to counter our style. This has been going on for at least six months, and our home form has been both appalling and boring. How long before attendances start to suffer?

Griffiths: 5.5 Made a few decent stops but thought he should have done better with the third goal. Made the right decision to play it long sometimes but then kicked it nowhere - the coaching team need to come up with a plan B for that situation.
Poole: 4 Struggled along with the rest of the defence and no impact going forward.
Eyoma: 2 Panicked every time they closed him down, caught in possession and had no out ball.
Montsma: 4 Had his worst game of the season, but nothing unique about that. Given no room at all to bring the ball out.
Robson: 5 Our best attacking defender on the night. Will be a huge asset if City can find an effective midfield.
McGrandles: 4 Really not suited to the Bridcutt role.
Sorensen: 2 Simply overpowered.
Fiorini: 5 Tried hard and had a few shots on goal; however, his poor shot with 20 minutes left summed the night up.
Maguire: 6 Our best player despite being out of position but received absolutely no support from either the midfield or his fellow strikers.
Draper: 5 Sorry folks, just running around does not constitute a good performance. I can't remember him having a shot, Raggett didn't allow him within 30 yards of the goal. Could not have been handed a worse team performance in which to make his full debut.
Bishop: 3 Not a striker, better when playing deeper but still ineffective. Doesn't look fit to me.

N'Lundulu: 5 Had a few shots when he came on, provided the goal threat in the box that had been completely missing.
Adelakun: 6 Pretty good late cameo, tried to make things happen and had a couple of decent shots late on.

Griffiths. 7.5. The only stand out. The save on to the post was top drawer.
Poole. 5. Underwhelming, but was not the worst.
Eyoma. 3. Painful to watch from start to finish. Where has last seasons warrior gone? Should have been pulled at half time.
Montsma. 5. Hard not to get the jitters when your centre back partner is having a mare.
Robson. 5. Not Jamie's best game in an imps shirt.
Mcgrandles. 5. A very poor first half, but did improve in the second.
Fiorini. 5. Ditto Conor. Very light weight first half and far too easily dispossessed. Better in the second. Portsmouth were on the beach, though, by this point.
Sorensen. 5. Did not hide, but gave the ball away cheaply, too many times. The complete midfield unit, did not gell.
Maguire. 6. Some good touches, but he is a bit one paced.
Draper. 7. An extra point as it was his debut and up against Ragget and Ogilvie. He showed promise, although he faded in the second half.
Bishop. 5 I wonder what Ted makes of being played out of position? A wasted talent in my view.
Adelakun. 6. He made a difference.
Nlundulu. 5. Poor first touch. Good one week, but not the next.
Sanders. No score as he was not given long enough to make an impact. What does he have to do to get in the team? If he's not playing against Accy, then Apps has lost the plot.

Griffiths - 6. Not sure he could be blamed for any of the goals.
Poole - 6. Did OK. Most of the attacks seemed to be coming down our left, targeting Robson and Eyoma.
Eyoma - 5. Looked jittery. Not exactly the best game he's ever had.
Montsma - 6. Did OK.
Robson - 5. Not exactly the best game he's ever had.
McGrandles - 5. Gave the ball away too much.
Sorensen - 5.5. Did better than McGrandles.
Fiorini - 5. Not in the game first half. A couple of his shots late on weren't as bad as his earlier ones.
Maguire - 6. Man of the match if anyone was.
Draper - 5.5. Raggett was usually too much for him (although he did get him booked). At times he did look like a young kid in a struggling side but improved as the game went on. Not his fault he was given such poor service.
Bishop - 5.5. His best moment came in the right back position.

N'Lundulu - 5. A good burst forward after coming on, ending with him losing the ball. After that, not really effective.
Adelakun - 5.5. Probably came closest to scoring.

Griffiths 6. Harsh to blame him for any of the goals and made a few good saves to prevent a real drubbing.
Poole 4 The MApp style is dependant on quality full backs and Poole is struggling big time. Defensively he just about held his own but going forward his only contribution is to be on the receiving end of Griffiths goal kicks and he didn’t win one all night.
Montsma. 5 General defensive car crash caught up with him and lacked his usual swagger and composure. Pompey pressured him quickly to stop him breaking and playing forward forcing him to pass to his fellow defenders who just kept giving the ball away.
Eyoma. 3. Christ what an horror show, bingo game of every mistake a defender could make and TJ got a full house. What the hell has happened to him?
Robson 5. Never got forward, too busy trying to defend but part of the defensive mess.
McGrandles 5. Can’t fault his effort and didn’t hide like his midfield partners but over run and out played
Sorensen. 3.
Fiorini. 3. Both better suited to u21 football. Lightweight and floated along on the periphery of the midfield battle. Sanders must be real sh*t in training if he isn’t better than these two.
Maguire 6. The only player who tried to take the game to their defence but like most of his play so far he flattered with no real end product.
Draper 5. Ran around but lack of service meant he didn’t touch the ball for the first 25 minutes. 17 yrs old against a couple of solid CBS and it showed.
Bishop 3. No impact and definitely out of position. Play him in midfield for Gods sake!

NLundulu 4. Looked to miss a good chance but nothing worthwhile to remember
Adelakun. 6. Bit of a spark and injected a bit of pace, trickery and effort.

Please MApp change the midfield, for such a brilliant coach surely you can see our midfield is weak, lightweight, slow and frankly piss, piss poor.

Griffiths 5.5 - A little too much slow distribution to hard pressed defenders, good save, conceded three goals.
Poole 5 - Protected to an extent as their best attacks came through middle/right.
Eyoma 4 - A poor performance from TJ, his confidence and concentration gone.
Montsma - 5.5 Ok but still below par.
Robson 5.5 - Had a lot to cope with, sometimes pressed even before he received the ball.
McGrandles 6 - Seemingly earmarked as our playmaker, he took responsibility but was caught by multiple opposition players at times.
Sorensen 3 - Our hamster had more fight. And would have knocked him off the ball.
Fiorini 4 - Flattered to deceive, cannot cope with battling men’s football, or shoot at the moment.
Maguire 6 - About the only player to give what he got, but lacks any pace.
Draper 5.5 - Good debut but up against a consummate pro who came out on top.
Bishop 5 - Wasted and anonymous

N'Lundulu 5 - Had our best chance, sometimes beaten by his own feet.
Adelakun 6 - Did well in latter stages, wanted the ball, decent cross.
