Griffiths 6- Did his job, but his slow distribution with the ball at his feet helped the Portsmouth high press. Long kicking has always been hit and miss.
Poole 5 - not one of his better games, either going forward or in defense.
Montsma 6 - panicked under the high press, but probably not as much as his three back line comrades
Eyoma 4- worst display in an Imps shirt. Totally shorn of any confidence.
Robson 4.5- poor first touch meant he nearly always passed square or backwards. Zero threat going forward, and average at best defending.
McGrandles 5- the only midfielder that tried to move forward when receiving the ball. Inevitably, with no easy pass available, he ended up getting caught in possession.
Sorensen 4.5- Worst game so far. Do not understand why Sanders has not been given a start.
Fiorini 5 - does not affect the game in the way that his Man City and Scotland U21 pedigree suggests he should. Basically this division is too fast and tough for him. Just not up for a scrapping-type game at all.
Maguire 6- tried his best but no support
Draper 7- easily our best player, which says it all.
Bishop 4- maybe doesn't like being played wide, but the last two months show exactly why he couldn't get in the Ipswich first team under Paul Cook
Nlundulu 4- effort but nothing else. No touch, head down.
Adelakun 6- surely if Scully is out he has to play. Can look lazy at times, but has undoubted individual skill.
Overall, we are a mess. We have struggled badly against any team that comes to the Bank and plays a high press, yert we stubbornly stick to our guns and play out from the back with no tactics apparently do anything else. It doesn't affect us as much away from home as home teams rarely use a high press - the onus is on them to attack. At home it is just too easy for teams to counter our style. This has been going on for at least six months, and our home form has been both appalling and boring. How long before attendances start to suffer?
