Average age a little higher than last year, but I expect that to drop a touch once we bring in a few more loanees. Ideally Melbourne, Archibald and possibly Longdon to head out as I can't see them figuring much. Think we need another right back, and possibly left back depending on where Tayo plays this season and whether Roughan departs or is part of the squad.

Yep! Must admit I was concerned when seeing the transfers other teams were making and the noise around budgets etc. But looks like we’re building a squad who can cope with anyone at this level.

Think he’ll get a fair share. Right now, not sure I could rank beyond Bridcutt and McGrandles (if Fiorini plays further forwards and Edun plays at LB).

Liking the look of the squad now. Not sure about automatics but we should be in the playoff mix with the depth and quality we have put together. Let’s hope for some good luck with injuries.

Getting humped by Boston in a pre-season friendly seems a long way away now doesn't it?

We have nine defenders on the books, but Cann and Roughan are likely to go out on loan and Max will probably be cycling out of Sincil Bank before the end of August. That leaves six, which looks a bit thin. Expect some movement there?
