Our poor little country, beset by racism, is still seen as a fair and prosperous place to come to for a better life. We also speak English, which many people have as a second language or an aspiration to learn. Finally, we are the end of the line of countries who don't want you. They end up here because we are the last place they can be shuffled along to. We have nowhere to send them to, unless Scottish independence comes, in which case they will all be on the Edinburgh train...

Its the same people who spend all day on the internet on their iPhones and iPads, ordering from Amazon or Dominos or Deliveroo, planning their next holiday on Trivago, and looking at the latest electric cars, while telling us that Capitalism is evil and that Socialism has never been really tried anywhere.

Its just like the world didn't exist before 2000. When you try to talk to them about the Soviet Union, where if Central Planning said your town would make tractors, then your town made tractors and only tractors, and you made tractors and your family made tractors and your friends made tractors, and you lived where you were told to live and work at a job given to you by the state, and you had no free will, just tractors and more tractors from now until you die, and if you complain then you are sent away to somewhere horrible where they work you to death that much sooner.

They look at you as if its some kind of sci-fi film...

Not GB News related but-

I am sure you will all be happy to hear that, here in Manchester, after a heavy downpour last night, many of the messages of support placed on the St Marcus decorated wailing wall, were damaged.

However, thankfully, the council is , at this moment, collecting them all, drying them out and taking them to the Central Library where they will be kept.

Unfortunately I will not be able to get there to view them in the next few days as the sink hole that closed the A56 last Saturday ,the main trunk road into and out of north Manchester, is still 'being looked into'.
