Manchester City will bid a fond and emotional farewell to legendary striker Sergio Aguero

It is going to be incredibly hard to get into his head this week. He has the benefit of two recent matches to review plus in the last one......we were stitched up with poor officiating (Rajeev non-penalty) and also conceding in the dying minutes (which was not a reflection of the game).

He will have a plan. Trying to guess what it will be........

Nailed it. I do hope Pep doesn't overthink this.

In both the FA Cup semi final and league match he did not play our best side - maybe he was experimenting; perhaps trying to see if players found form (yes, Rajeev I am talking about you); partly he would have been rotating players to keep them fresh for the two CL semi final legs.........but I think that there is grave risk in moving away from the formula which has proved successful this season and with which the players are familiar.

This team:-

Ederson
Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo/Zinchenko*
Gundogan, Fernandinho, Bernardo
Mahrez, De Bruyne, Foden

*Big decision looming - I think he starts with Cancelo and Zink comes o later (depending on the status of the match)

Until his last couple of defeats Pep had a top record vs little Tommy T, so I fear a strange selection, if it works he will be a genius, if we lose the nay sayers will have ammo for a couple of months and the Sheik will be very upset.

I feel the team pretty much picks itself, only quibbles being at LB and who plays as a false #9, Bernardo or Red Kev.

Just hope Pep doesn't give in to sentimentality like he did recently when he played Carson. He might be a nice chap to have around the place but giving Steffen minutes under his belt may have been more beneficial.

If we look back two years ago in champions league finals , Bale who was not a regular starter won it for Real Madrid as a substitute . With the amount of goals scored against Chelsea by augero it would be better to start augero .

Pep should provide an opportunity to redeem the paneka miss for augero .

Otherworldly

If he had started today. We don’t know it could have been different. It is rubbish to give only 15 mins for the player who had Exceptional record against Chelsea.

Hope enjoys playing alongside his good friend Lionel Messi (it is going to be so weird seeing him playing in a different kit).

Good luck Sergio

P.S. Please don't get drawn against us in the CL.
