I could tell by the look on his face that he knew that his time at Villa was probably over. Of course the club will look after him but his chance will likely be gone by the time he is over the injury.

Looked pretty innocuous at the time.

Feel for the lad if reports are true that he’s done his ACL. He certainly seemed upset enough when he came off to make you think it was serious but there again he walked off so who knows. Either way think we’d all want to wish him well but you‘d hope it was nailed on that we’d have been looking to upgrade in wide areas in the summer anyway!

When I did my ACL it was about as innocuous as you get, simply turned and cleared the ball and my studs got caught in the turf on my standing leg. Nastiest pain I've ever felt. A few minutes later it felt OK to walk on, but I tried to run on it again and had the repeat of that pain. Horrible horrible injury....

Poor bloke, hardest working player at the club, nasty injury and I actually thought this summer would get a good fee for him, and he’d find a club with better weather and perhaps be a big fish in a small pond perhaps Turkey.
